Spotlight Second foal; Quality Road half-brother to French 12.5f winner Alpamayo; unraced dam from classy family; trainer has a 25% strike-rate with 2yos here; interesting on debut, all the more so if strong in the betting.

Spotlight 20-1 when soundly beaten fourth of seven on last month's debut at Yarmouth (6f, soft); however, this 170,000gns yearling may have needed the run and his dam was a 1m4f Group 2 winner, so the step up in trip is a positive move; represents in-form yard and he's not ruled out.

Spotlight 100,000gns yearling; 12th foal; Saxon Warrior half-brother to six winners including One Foot In Heaven (9.5f-1m7f including Group 2) and Queen (Group-placed 9.5f); dam Pride won the Champion Stakes; very much catches the eye on breeding and no surprise if he gives a good account on debut.

Spotlight 150,000gns yearling who has shown some ability on both starts (1m, soft), but he needs to take a step forward on this AW debut if he's to threaten.
