Spotlight: Had two C&D wins under his belt before finishing close up in the last two runnings of this (both on good to firm); not ideally placed when returned to this track in May but he should have a say again now back on a better mark, 3lb lower than last August.

Spotlight: Has plenty of handicapping experience but better than ever when winning quite convincingly over C&D (good to firm) recently; on a career-high mark against stronger opposition but it's not too late for him to do better.

Spotlight: Has raced mostly at around 5f but there was no doubting that this C&D suited him well when he won by a wide margin (good to firm) in June; ran with great credit when eighth of 27 in the Stewards' Cup at Goodwood recently, after having to be switched, and looks a likely contender back here.

Spotlight: Has had some ups and downs in handicaps but is 2-3 in them over C&D (latest win when getting the better of Indian Run in June) and was seriously impeded in the other; has claims with Billy Loughnane up for the first time.

Spotlight: Both wins on AW; 0-9 on grass but cheekpieces seem to have bucked him up of late and he was very close to breaking his turf duck at Salisbury before making late inroads into Another Abbot's lead over this C&D last time; weighted to be thereabouts with that one and can't be ruled out.

Spotlight: C&D winner who has had a fantastic run this year, winning his last four races on good to firm ground, over 6f and 5f; at the age of nine he seems to be closing in on his best-ever form and he has won off a slightly higher mark than today's in the past; Oisin Murphy up for the first time; much respected.

Spotlight: Lost his way as a 3yo but he had smart 6f handicap form last May and a close second to Diligently over C&D (good to firm) in June signalled a return to better days; a Thirsk win at 6f and a close third over 5f at Ascot have followed and he can be in the thick of it.

Spotlight: Both wins over 5f; stays further, having finished better than anything when third of 21 in the Portland at Doncaster (extended 5f, good) last September but this is only his second run in a 6f turf handicap (faded in the first of them) so still has stamina to prove.

Spotlight: Smart on his day, as when runner-up to a top 6f handicapper at York (good) last October, and he saw off Desert Cop, Badri and Diligently in some style over C&D in May, despite being switched twice; not so good in two runs since but he's too talented to overlook back on this track.

Spotlight: Four wins on extremes of going in 2025, including over C&D, but she surpassed them all in form terms when just losing out in a Listed race at Bath in April; had a rough ride from the handicapper as a result and she's found it all too much since; up against it.

Spotlight: Saw out 2025 with three AW wins from his final four starts but he's played only minor roles in turf handicaps this year, including when beaten nearly 5l behind King Of Light over C&D in May; could do with some rain or, failing that, a return to the AW as he's well treated now.

Spotlight: Sole win in a Beverley maiden over two years ago but he only just failed to gain a first handicap win when touched off by Justcallmepete over C&D (good to firm) in May; some way below that level in Diligently's race here the following month, though, and others are higher up the list.

Spotlight: Multiple wins include two over 5f for new yard this year, the first under Myla Coppins and the second on this track; did win once over 6f back in 2022 but it's a long time since he played a part over this trip.

Spotlight: Just 3-26 on turf but this C&D does work well for him and he gained a deserved first win on the track when just fending off Uncle Don (good to firm) in May; has had going (good to soft) and trip (5f) excuses since but this company could be overwhelming.

Spotlight: One turf win from 15 attempts, in a four-runner race at Chepstow (5f) last July; two fair C&D runs since returned to turf in May and was out on a limb when finishing sixth to Another Abbot and Sudden Flight 14 days ago; however, he'll do well to win at this level off his current mark.

Spotlight: Took advantage of a more favourable mark when winning over this C&D (good to firm) in June, a first win in Britain for over two years; perhaps downhill tracks weren't so helpful in two runs since, at 6f and 5f, but he still has something to find in this company.
