Spotlight Rapidly progressive 5yo who has really come into his own this year, winning two handicaps in March and bettering those efforts when a comfortable winner on this month's Kelso reappearance (2m5f) off 10lb higher; escapes a penalty for that success and, with Dylan Johnston permitted to claim on this occasion, he could prove difficult to beat.

Spotlight Failed to justify strong support on stable debut at Bangor (2m7f, good) in June when he pulled far too hard in the first-time cheekpieces; comes back in trip in the same headgear and, if settling better, he can't be completely ruled out.

Spotlight Admirably consistent/versatile 6yo who has been in excellent form this year, winning at Wincanton (1m7f, heavy) in March and following a couple of solid seconds with another win at Worcester (2m4f, good) in July; 6lb rise will ask a question but he's likely to be involved.

Spotlight Reliable 8yo; has the stronger form over fences and a winner in that discipline in September; reverts to hurdles off a 14lb lower mark and holds a fitness edge over some of his rivals but probably vulnerable for the win.

Spotlight Well held in three handicaps for this stable (2m-2m5.5f) before finishing a respectable fourth of seven at Fontwell upped to 3m2f in May (refitted cheekpieces, retained); others make more appeal with the drop back in trip a concern, returning from a five-month break.

Spotlight Form has regressed badly after some early promise in 2021-2022; soundly beaten on both completed starts for this stable and difficult to make a case for.

Spotlight Winning pointer who made the frame on all three starts over hurdles last season, all at around 2m, most recently when a 25l second of 11 at Chepstow in April; should be suited by this step up in trip on handicap debut and a likely player if ready to go back from an absence.

Spotlight Pulled up on March's hurdle debut but has offered more in two starts since, albeit beaten over 15l and 22l, all on soft ground at 2m and most recently when a staying-on sixth of 13 at Uttoxeter in May; with stamina in his pedigree, this longer trip could unlock some untapped potential on handicap debut and he's of interest, with cheekpieces added.

Spotlight Placed on hurdling debut at Fontwell (2m1f, good) in 2022 but seen only the twice since, most recently when back from a lengthy absence and pulling up on April's handicap debut at Fontwell (bled from the nose); goes up in trip back from a another break.
